  6. Or pop it in a pan and heat it for 2 minutes.
  7. Once the sugar is cooled down or dried. Break all lumps with your fingers or place it into a strainer and shake it until we get all of sugar out of strainer.
  8. The coloured sugar in the bag are my purchased colour sugar and you can see there is no difference between my home made coloured sugar with those.

If you have food color, granulated sugar, and disposable plastic bags, then you can make colored sugar. This is a great activity for kids. Put a couple of tablespoons of sugar into a small plastic bag.
