  7. Take 1 tsp ghee
  8. Take 1/2 tsp cardamom powder

  11. Make ready 2-5 strands saffron

The process of making makhana kheer is pretty simple. Makhana Kheer is firstly roasting the makhana in ghee and blending them to a course powder. You can serve makhane ki kheer warm or chilled. To serve chilled, let the kheer come to room temperature and then chill into the refrigerator for a few hours and then serve.

Instructions to make Makhana kheer:
  1. Heat a Kadai with ghee and roast the cashew nuts and raisins in it and keep them aside.
  2. In the same Kadai roast the makhana for sometime till they become golden in colour in low flame.
  3. Then add milk and salt into it and allow it to boil for sometime.
  4. Boil it for 10 minutes and add condensed milk, sugar anddry fruits in it.
  5. Add the cardamom powder in it and mix it well and switch off the flame. Now your makhana kheer is ready.
  6. Serve warm or chilled condition by garnishing with some chopped pistachios,almonds and saffron strands.

You can serve makhane ki kheer warm or chilled. To serve chilled, let the kheer come to room temperature and then chill into the refrigerator for a few hours and then serve. This makhana kheer is served during vrat days as a dessert after a meal or along with the meal. You can enjoy it any time of the year, it doesn't have to be fasting days.
