I had made the makhane ki kheer during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Makhana or foxnuts or phool makhana is always there at home. I usually roast the makhana and keep in a jar.
To begin with this particular recipe, we have to prepare a few components. You can have makhana kheer using 6 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.
The ingredients needed to make Makhana kheer:
- Take 1 bowl makhana
- Take 1 liter full fat milk
- Get 1/2 bowl mix dryfruit
- Prepare 1 tsp khaskhas
- Take 6 tsp sugar
- Prepare 2 tsp ghee
Remove from the flame, allow it to cool and blend in a mixer to a coarse powder. You can serve makhane ki kheer warm or chilled. To serve chilled, let the kheer come to room temperature and then chill into the refrigerator for a few hours and then serve. This makhana kheer is served during vrat days as a dessert after a meal or along with the meal.
Steps to make Makhana kheer:
- Take in a pan ghee & hit. roast the makhana in a medium flame. When it crunch add khaskhas & roast a minute then off the flame. Transfer it in a bowl.Than in apan add dryfruit and roast. Transfer it in abowl.
- Take makhana & khaskhas in a mixerjar & crush it not afine but dardara crush. Take some makhana for garnish.
- Boil milk. when it become half then add the makhana & khaskhas mix.cook for 5 minutes & add the sugar you can take according to your taste more or less.Then add dryfruit & off the flame. Minimum 20/25 minutes let it cool at room temperature & do not stir because layer of malai become on to of kheer.Then put in freeze for cheel.
- Now you take serving bowl & add makhana kheer add some whole makhana & dryfruit for garnish it& serve chilled makhana kheer.!!
- Very healthy for everyone because it's full of calcium.
