  7. Remove it on a serving dish and let cool(do not pop it hot
  8. You can easily pluck makhana once it cools and enjoy it

You also have an option of adding nuts like crushed peanuts or sesame seeds. Makhana can be bought at any Indian store or online. For this recipe we are going to make a caramel sauce of the gur and then coat toasted makhanas in it. It tastes very close to caramel popcorn but with a deeper and richer flavor of the gur. Pro Tips: It is important to roast the makhanas of low flame.
